Handheld Orthographic Rendering

I took one of my designs from the handheld project and rendered a side view of it. This render showcases the small details and textures I would use in creating the actual product. The logo is inset into the side of the camera box with a rubber texture and the camera lens has twistable ridges on it to show its function.  

Footwear

I designed and developed a soccer cleat in the style of my choosing. I based my design direction on both pre existing nike and puma cleats. The over all materials and trends are from inspiration on my image board. 

Footwear Image Board

I created an image board as part of a larger assignment to design and develop a piece of footwear in the style of my choosing. I decided to do a soccer cleat, based mostly off of nike with influence of some adidas and puma styles. These are cleats designed for high impact, high intense, fast paced games with the ability to withstand climate and usage. This is just an inspiration page for further footwear exploration. The target market here would be for serious soccer players at the club and colligate levels.

These three presentation pages showcase how my designs look in someones hand while explaining the basic functions of each. The line work was done in sketchbook pro while the rendering was done in photoshop. The basic concepts were still based off of the original image board.

I chose 3 design directions from the previous assignment to develop presentation pages that showcase how my designs will look and function. These are the final line work pages without the final rendering. 

Product Ideation

I developed a series of of sketches based on the redesign of an existing product. I chose a sports action camera. I used the specific brand of Reebok CrossFit as a starting point for my design to explore how the brand identity would overlay my chosen product.

Brand Board

I created a brand board as part of a larger assignment to design a handheld product based off of the chosen brand's identity and design language. I chose Reebok CrossFit, a fitness company promoted as both a physical exercise philosophy as well as a competitive sport. The CrossFit prescription is performing functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity based as a core strength and conditioning program. It is designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible to optimize physical competence in many fitness domains.

My name is Amanda Weinberger and I am an Industrial Design student at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I am a full time, dedicated athlete, so the kind of design that I am most interested in would have to be anything in athletics. Any sport, any physical activity, most outdoor adventures, and most water related activities are among my favorites.
